When the sponges died, their remains eventually became the microscopic quartz crystals that form the core of a flint. Knapping, or splitting, the flints reveals this core for the first time in over 100 million years. Our knapped chalk flints are approximately 75150mm in size, comes in 1000kg bags, which covers approx 8 sqm. They typically
