tailor made by 'Nicolls of Regent Street' in 1941 from a fairly heavyweight shepherd check or dogtooth tweed fabric in berry red

In very good condition overall - there is the remains of a spot of white paint on the left bust - 3 small moth nibbles/grazes to the left sleeve (arrowed) - a repair to the bottom right front edge (arrowed) - the lining has some scattered marks/watermarks

Original Vintage 1940s Skirt Dark Brown Wool High Waist Angled Pockets UK S 1940s dress late 1930s or early 1940sA stylish vintage 1940s skirt by 'Classic Skirts Ltd.' made from fairly lightweight 100% wool flannel fabric in dark chocolate brown. It is flared, has centre box pleats at the front & back with outward pleats to either side, delightful triangular patch pockets with perky tips, & fastens at the side with a silver metal Aero zip & hooks on the waistband. It is unlined. The labels & embroidered hanging loops are a nice detail; the patented placket label
