The unit is needed if the Opticlimate (OC) is installed lower than the drain. The unit can achieve a lifting of maximum 4 metres. It's made for use with a 7 4MM PVC hose and with any OC closed loop climate system model. The lift pump is needed when the OC unit is installed below the drain, which interrupts the flow of the condensation water
